The French American School of Princeton opened its doors in September 2000 as an independent nonprofit institution. Its mission is to meet the educational needs of both the French speaking community in the Princeton area and the American families seeking an academically rigorous education in a challenging bilingual environment.
It started out as a preschool with five students in a church located in the heart of Princeton. In September 2001, Grade 1 to 3 classes were opened. Growing rapidly, the school moved to its current location in September 2002, in a larger church building located on All Saints Rd. The following years, the school grew and rapidly doubled in size, reaching full capacity in September 2005. The school acquired its own facility located on Carter Rd, in September 2007. The school is now located on two campuses, the Princeton Campus serves the Preschool, and the Lawrenceville Campus is the home of Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. Today with an enrollment of 106 students, the school is still growing and will expand into 6th grade by September of 2008.
All classes from Preschool to Grade 5 are accredited by the French Department of Education. Our school is accredited by the Middle States Association on Elementary Schools (MSA-CES).
Formerly known as Princeton French School, the school becomes the French American School of Princeton in January 2008. This change of name reiterates the school's mission, which is dedicated to offering a bilingual and bicultural education. The French American School of Princeton is the only French-American school in New-Jersey.

The annual tuition fees for the 2008-09 school year are $13,160 in Preschool & Kindergarten ($11,800 half-day - offered in PreK-1 only: from 8:30am to 12:30pm), $13,800 in Elementary school, and $14.500 in Middle School . A $500 non refundable deposit is due with enrollment contract. Payment could be annual, biannual or monthly. Parents of French students may be eligible for scholarships from the French government.

L'École Franco-Américaine de Princeton, est une école privée à but non lucratif, qui a ouvert ses portes en septembre 2000 pour répondre à la demande d'une structure scolaire de la communauté francophone de la région de Princeton, ainsi qu'aux attentes des familles américaines à la recherche d'un enseignement académique rigoureux dans un environnement bilingue structuré.
Une petite classe de maternelle composée de 5 élèves s'est donc ouverte dans les locaux d'une église au cœur de Princeton. En Septembre 2001, des classes d’élémentaire ont été ouvertes (CP au CE2). Grandissant rapidement, l’école a ensuite déménagé, en 2002, dans le bâtiment d’une plus grande église située sur All Saints Road. Les années suivantes, l’école a continué de grandir atteignant sa pleine capacité en Septembre 2005. L’école a pu acquérir ses propres locaux situés sur Carter Rd, en Septembre 2007. L’école occupe maintenant deux sites, le campus de Princeton accueille les élèves de Petite et Moyenne Sections de Maternelle et le campus de Lawrenceville ceux de Grande Section de maternelle au CM2. Aujourd’hui, l'école a un effectif total de 106 élèves et l'ouverture d'une sixième est prévue à la rentrée 2008.
Toutes les classes, de la Petite Section de Maternelle au CM2, sont homologuées par le Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale.
Connue sous le nom d'École Française de Princeton, l'école devient l'École Franco-Américaine de Princeton. Ce changement de nom effectif en janvier 2008 réaffirme la mission de l'école dont la vocation est d'offrir une éducation bilingue et biculturelle. L'École Franco-Américaine de Princeton est la seule école franco-américaine dans le New-Jersey.
